Jess
Hello, and welcome to The Theory of Marketing Relativity Podcast. I'm Jess Burton, a marketing specialist here at Epic Marketing Consultants Corporation. Let's talk all things marketing and merchandising with our epic team. Today, we're here with our Creative Director Amy Warrington again, she just happens to be at the beach in, where are you? Where are you located?
Amy
I'm in Folly Beach, South Carolina at my boyfriend's family's beach house right now and it is amazing. Oh my God.
Jess
Oh, my gosh, I and I this is like, I think that like my fourth grade geography teacher would probably is probably like dying right now. For some reason. Like I love going to the beach in the Carolinas, if you ask me which beach town is in which Carolina? I can't tell you.
Amy
I have no idea. The only reason I know Folly is because I come to this fun and yeah, that's the reason I know and it's by Charleston. So here I'll give you a little view of my marsh view. Can you see the lighthouse from here?
Jess
Oh, that is stunning.
Amy
So and then the beach is over that way that's across the street. And then there's Newt.
Jess
Yeah, I decided to use my my greetings from my desk cup today, since I knew you'd be at the beach.
Amy
I like it that works. That works very well
Jess
For my coffee. Um, alright, so we have a fun game kind of game today. I know so our last blog was about kind of like, Where did all of the apps that we use or that we know where did they get their names from? So the other like a little quiz for you.
Amy
You're making you take a quiz on vacation. Okay
Jess
But it's easy. There's only three answers. Yeah, there's only three answers and I think I don't know. I think some of them are pretty easy to figure out. But I was getting excited because I got really creative with some of the names. We'll see how you do.
Amy
No Pressure. No Pressure
Jess
So let's start. Um, my favorite app is Instagram. I love Instagram. So one of the ones that we were all kind of like where did what was Instagrams original name? So here are your three options.
Amy
Okay?
Jess
Bourbon, Scotch, or Whiskey.
Amy
I guess it was named after alcohol originally. Um, I'm gonna go with... Bourbon
Jess
That is correct.
Amy
Yes..
Jess
So it was spelled like burbn without what they took out like the extra vowels.
Amy
Okay?
Jess
And I was like I was like, okay, so where did this name come from?
Amy
Yes, Why Burbn?
Jess
Yeah, apparently one of Instagrams founders was like a huge fan of like Kentucky whiskies. So he wanted to create like a location based app that kind of merged um, a couple different apps that were popular at the time.
Amy
Like FourSquare
Jess
Yeah. So when he first started it, it had like 18 different things you could do. And then they like, kind of like took a step back and looked at it. And they were like, wait a minute, people are only using this as like a photo sharing app. They're not using it to check in or like, I guess at one point, they had like, a point system where you could like earn points for checking in places. And I was like, this sounds very confusing.
Amy
Right
Jess
But it is crazy to think I'm like, wow, I'm like, Instagram used to be more like Foursquare, because Foursquare came around before. And
Amy
God forgot. I forgot about Foursquare. I remember when Foursquare came out. I was in college. And like, if you checked into different places, you got coupons, and it was like a big deal as a poor college student.
Jess
Yeah. Oh, my God. I was such a good couponer. Or when I was in college, like I had, like such a small budget. I was like, I'm going to coupon everything. Yeah. Oh my god. So talking about Foursquare. What do you think Foursquare's? original name was?
Amy
Oh, Foursquare had another name?
Jess
Okay, hopscotch, dodgeball, or four corners?,
Amy
Hopscotch.
Jess
Actually, it was dodgeball,
Amy
Really dodgeball
Jess
The name was chosen to be fun and playful because they wanted the APP to be fun and playful. So when I was looking up all of these factoids, I had, like a slight moment of genius. I was like, we should create an app called Hopscotch for planning, wine trails, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, and it gives you premade like, restaurants and bars and wineries and stuff that you can go to that so that you don't have to figure it out. Like I always I was thinking I was just like, Oh my gosh, I was like, I all the like Bachelorette weekends like like I've been on. We spend, I would say way too much time trying to figure out like, let's go to this winery, let's go to this bar. Like, let's do this. What if someone figured it out for you?
Amy
And he was just like you pick you put in your cities, the types of things you wanted to do, and it's, this is your bachelorette party. Oh, that'd be cool.
Jess
Right?
Amy
That'd be good.
Jess
Like, I would even do it like on vacation. Like if I was going to like, you know, the beach. And we were like, on Friday night, we all want to go out. And we all want to go to a couple different like bars. You can pick like, how much you want to spend, what kind of life music you want. And it like takes all together for you. Right? Yeah.
Amy
Because that's the biggest thing. Whenever you go on vacation everybody's like, I don't, what to do, what do you wanna do? I don't know. I've never been here before. This person always knows what we should do. Let's ask them and then like, I always have to pick what to do.
That would be cool. I like I like the basically, I like your idea.
Jess
I know we should work on that when you get back from vacation. Maybe we can make an app.
Amy
Oh my gosh, I still haven't even gotten started on our super secret Nancy project yet. I haven't even started on that one. Yeah, I'll have to do that while I'm on vacation and we can't tell her about it.
But yeah, the super super secret Nancy project has to get
Unknown Speaker
going soon to. Yes, I
Amy
tell you about the super secret Nancy project.
I don't think so. Oh, Ann can fill you in later. Think Cards Against Humanity, but with a marketing spin.
Jess
Who I love it. Actually, I do love it.
Amy
It'll be fun.
Jess
My only my only foray into making games was so I like teach high school marching man. And are so we were This is like such a weird story. We were in line for roller coaster at Busch Gardens. And because we were there for a band competitions might also be at Busch Gardens. And we're sitting there talking about like all of these old school games that we used to play so like. I can't think of a Guess Who came up and I like jokingly said So I jokingly said, how cool would it be to take Guess Who and switch it out with like all these people we knew. So, at the end of the school year, I had a bunch of students in like one of the, like, digital design classes, or no in the yearbook class, pull, like, I made like a whole list of teachers and administrators that I thought would be okay with me putting their picture in this game. And I had the kids make me new Guess Who cards, but with like, teachers, vice principals and the principal. And I gave it to our band director as a gift. He was like, This is amazing. He's under his like, next period class because he left it like on the top of the baby grand piano in his classroom. He's on the kids in the next class. We're like, Can we play this?
Amy
That's so cute. I've made one game before. But okay, so my ex boyfriend was an absolute psychopath. Like I'm we're talking like certifiably sociopath . And he always has like, this thing. He would ask me he would be like, how many orphans do you think it would take to overpower a polar bear? And like you would always throw out like these really weird like super, super dark questions all the time. So I made a game called polar bears versus orphans. And basically you were an orphan and you had to, you had to like traverse through this whole big maze of places to go. And if you landed on an X, you had to pull a polar bear card or weapons card and you had like fight the polar bears. And if you made it to the plateau you got a family you and adopted you got an sent off and lived happily?
Jess
I like I seriously like I give kudos to people who make games because like, especially ones that are like super popular like Cards Against Humanity and stuff because they're so like, I like I'm like, where you come up with this stuff, like my brain doesn't think on this wavelength like,
Amy
Well, so I have decided that now moving forward, if you want to be the president, you have to play one of those online to see like civilization built In games and you have to prove that you know how to allocate your resources how to build your city bigger how to defend against wars and like incoming threats and everything. How to have a what you might call it a nice international trade policy thing going on because you have to do all that stuff in the game and you have to set it up from like, you live in huts to it's an actual civilization and I'm like instead of the debate let's just give them an hour an hour to figure it out. Like I mean if they're going to be the president they should be able to figure out a fucking video okay. But um, but no, they should be able to figure out how to use video game how to set up a society and run it and like honestly, I think we should judge like presidential candidates on that.
Jess
I mean like think about it, just take the game and you know like you can speed things up so that like and I did this when I was taking like this, you put it like 10 times the speed so that like you could make money faster. So you can just have them play for like five hours, put it at like 20 times speed and like watch as they like crisis cert like solid all these are like If your town doesn't burn to the ground and like your people don't die, like Congratulations, you're qualified. We have to put like in the game program that like, there has to be a pandemic, somewhere in there.
Amy
Oh my gosh, right. Good Gracious
Jess
That's hilarious
Amy
That would be funny.
I mean,
Jess
Could you imagine
Amy
I don't think either candidate running for president right now could do it.
Jess
Could you imagine like set like, I just think of like all of those like ESports game tournaments where they have like, all of the screens set up and they're like sitting in these high tech gaming chairs. Could you imagine like, politicians
Amy
They're putting those in in Philly. And then
Jess
Before COVID, we went to a flyers game and they have like an entire section of like, where they re-did you know where they redid one of the like layouts and it's just like this E gaming system where I'm like, My God, like this is really a thing, isn't it?
Amy
I mean, Ann's daughter, she has people who watch her on Twitch now, right when she plays Minecraft like she was following
Jess
Me. I'm not that cool when I was 10 at all.
Amy
I'm still not that cool and I'm 33
Jess
Well, yeah, I'm like, Yeah, I got 12 likes on my Instagram photo.
Amy
I took an awesome picture of the sunset the other day, and I had my little mountain near his cup, because I went to WVU not expecting to get a lot more likes on it, but I have like five.
Jess
I know. I feel like people, people when they get to like a certain age, get stingy with their like, social media affection.
Amy
Well also know I'm stingy with mine too.
Jess
Well, meanwhile, I was like scrolling through Instagram and my boyfriend was like, What are you tapping on? I'm like, double tap to like, I'm liking all these people's pictures and he's like, why and I'm like, because I like them as people and I like their picture and that baby is cute
Amy
I want them to know I saw it.
Jess
And I know. I'm giving them engagement.
Amy
I'm giving them Love. Double tap means love That's how we do it in society these days. No hugging, just double tap
Jess
Yes, just doubletap
Okay, whole new meaning in 2020
Amy
Double tap for affection.
Jess
We'll talk. So since we're talking about likes, let's talk about, um, what do you think Tinder's original name was?
Amy
Oh, it had an original name. It did.
Jess
It did. So I feel like when you come up with an idea, you give it a name and then you kind of like massage it as like it goes on and like something sticks. Um, so Tinder's original names? Kindling. Matchbox or Tender
Amy
Matchbox
Jess
Correct.
Amy
I okay, so this is my first introduction to Tinder. So my marriage had gotten called off right so I hadn't been dating forever. Not like my wedding got called off. And so then I finally started dating and I start going out with people and I'm on a date with this guy who is on Tinder. This is like the first time I've ever heard of Tinder and he's like, it's like hot or not, and you like swipe left or right on people that you think are hot and like we're on a date and
Jess
You're like, Hello, I'm here
Amy
It didn't work out but the guy and I are still really good friends. He's a cutie patootie but yeah, not dating materia more friendship material
Jess
I just like I it cracks me up because I feel like on with dating apps people either have like, they're like, in the commercial, like found love. Like, my life is great now, like, can't believe I found like this person through online dating. And then you get the people that are like, oh my gosh, I've been through hell and back through this dating app. Please come save me.
Amy
Hell and back.
Jess
I mean, I feel like I've I never used Tinder just because I like this. this sounds terrible. I was like super judgy of dating apps. I was like, that ones just for hookups. Like I don't want that too. But like, I try to think of the ones that I think I I know I downloaded Tinder and I looked at it. I had a Coffee Meets Bagel was one of them.
Amy
I hated Coffee Meets Bagel, they only give you one person a day and you're like,
Jess
I know you're like, there got to be more people in the world. Um, but I only so I only downloaded that because again, we were on a band trip, which is my life apparently before COVID. We were in a marching band trip in Florida. And we were standing in line for like, ever at one of the rides because we took the kids to Florida for a parade. And I remember like our choir director came with us because you need a certain amount of staff to chaperone and she's standing next to me and she's swiping and what she's like looking People move. What are you doing? And she's like, Oh, this is app Coffee Meets Bagel. She's like, obviously, I'm not going to match with any of these guys because we're in Orlando, Florida and we're never coming back here. But I just thought it would be fun. So we're staying I download it, we're standing in line, like comparing each other's like match.
Amy
My favorite was always when my roommate at the time and I would match with the same guy.
Jess
Oh, No!,
Amy
She'd be like, I'm matched with the cutest guy today. You know, like, you know, we were chatting, bah, bah, bah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, I already matched with him
Jess
Oh, my God. I will say my favorite thing is like, as I've like, scrolled through TokTok is like the girls just like roasting guys dating profiles, because they'll be like, here's one with me holding a fish. Here's one with me when a dog here's one with me in an ambiguous group of other men.
Amy
Don't forget the tiger. Don't forget the tiger.
Jess
Yes, the exotic animal picture.
Amy
All of them have an exotic animal picture. All of them have them hiking in front of some sort of obscure place. And if they happen
Jess
And if they have abs and to they're usually shirtless like on a mountain in Montana. Somewhere in like, on a mountain shirtless at the top. Yep. Like guys, come on, let's get creative here.
Amy
But then you have like, the basic bitch girl photos to Okay, I know all of mine personally
Jess
You know, here's me with my coffee cup and my or my wine glass like Yeah, exactly.
Amy
Well also the other thing like with Tinder and everything is you just go like by looks. You don't it's like judging a book by its cover kinda.
Jess
Oh 100% I really liked Bumble because you had to do the work and like men couldn't just like, send you a gajillion messages without you starting a conversation. And I realized that like, So. How I met my boyfriend is like super weird. We were friends in college for like we were friends in college. We didn't really talk for like, six years, we have the same birthday. So we would text each other like happy birthday on our birthday. But like that was kind of like every once in a while, like with our friends, we'd grab dinner, or lunch or something when everybody was in town. And like for a while, he kept coming up in my Bumble and I just kept like exiting the app, because I didn't want to swipe left or right. Like I didn't want I don't know, I don't know why I just didn't want to swipe left or right. So yeah, like to talk about like weird anxiety did so I would exit out of the app. And then we started once we started like talking and like dating. I said that to him. And he's like, why wouldn't you just swipe a certain way? And I was like, what happens if we match he was like, we talk. So then we got into this conversation. I know well, then we got into this conversation about like, what how men approach dating, online dating and how women approach online dating and I was like, Oh my gosh, yeah. Like, I would like, read all of their information and like, look at all their pictures and like, think about it, like, could I could I see myself going on a date with this person? And he's like, wait, you guys really put that much thought into it? And we're like, I was like, Yeah, like I don't want to waste my time. It's like I know initially not
Amy
If you don't have a personalilty I'm not gonna strike up a conversation with you.
Jess
he literally tells me he's like, Oh, I just swipe right on everybody. I'm like, Are you freaking kidding me right now? I'm like,
Amy
oh my god. Like Right, right, right. Right, right. Right. Right. Right, right.
Jess
He's like, Oh, yeah, he's like, you just you just swipe right because like, why does it matter? Like you guys have to talk first anyway, he was like, so why make the pool even smaller? I was like, Oh my God. I was like, I hate them so much. Sometimes.
Amy
I would be making the pool smaller. If you swiping right on everybody. That means he's just grateful for whatever you can catch at that point.
Jess
Right. Am I the bottom of the totem pole like is that Oh
Amy
So. I met my boyfriend in a bar the traditional way.
Jess
That's funny,
Amy
But I was in a unicorn onesie, so I was literally the unicorn that he met at a bar.
Jess
Was it please tell me it was for Halloween?
Amy
It was the day before the trolley loop in Wilmington
Jess
Ok, i was gonna be like .
Amy
Yeah, I refuse to go out for the Trolley loop because it's so cold and you have to wear very small outfits and I'm just too old for that anymore. So I wore unicorn onesies the day before the Halloween suit because that's what my roommate got me out of the house. And yeah, so he met me while I was wearing a unicorn onesie and yeah, I've been a unicorn in his life ever since. I'm still in his phone as Amy unicorn like we've been dating That's
Jess
Amazing. Actually. That's hilarious. Yeah, oh god, I just it's I don't know whether like as you get older, you're just like, oh, everything's too peoplly.
Amy
Way too peoply.
Jess
Way too peoply and I'm Like, I like being warm and comfortable, overlooking cute and being half naked, so I'm gonna cover myself for October 31. Yeah, I'm not dressed in lingerie
Amy
In my 20s all about it.
Jess
All right in college, I was like, Yes, Let's wear booty shorts and tank tops. But now I'm like,
Amy
no, it's a little chilly.
Jess
Can I wear this leopard print sweater and be a leopard.
Amy
I don't need to look cute anymore when I go out
Jess
Like, exactly. I'm like, I'm comfortable that's all that matters.
Oh my goodness
Amy
cold. I'm going to be cranky. And I'm not going to attract people around me anyway, because I'm going to be a horrible person to be with
Jess
100% nobody wants to be with any of us to be cranky. Let's be real with that.
Amy
Let's be honest.
Jess
Absolutely. Which I do think it's funny because a Bumble gets its name and I think I feel like you'll appreciate this. So I won't make you. Oh, well asked you the question just because I like it. Okay. So where do you think Bumble got its name from so either from when you fumble a bad date, it's a nickname for that. It's how you decline a second date or from the bee society.
Amy
I'm saying bees because queen bees get to make all the decisions.
Jess
Bingo.
Yeah, yeah. So I was reading this article where they interviewed the woman who founded Bumble. She actually came from Tinder, she worked for Tinder. And she said that they had originally been looking at like a Russian word generator, which I was like, interesting. And then like someone who was on like their board, when they were coming up with it said like Bumble, like in the bee society, there's a queen bee, the woman's in charge. And since women since the founding principle of Bumble is that the women are in charge. They thought that that was a great way to kind of tie them all in together. I was like, Oh, I like a creative story.
Amy
Yeah, I like it when the name actually means. Well, I think we talked about this before, but we talked about how Epic's name the cool meaning behind it. I know =MC2
Jess
I know And it's like layered like E-MC2 because like Epic Marketing Consultants Corporated, but then Nancy tied in the whole like Einstein thing. So it's like, different tie ins from like, everywhere.
Amy
Actually, it was Don. Don is the one Yes, it was Don. He had that genius moment. He'd been working on it for a while and then like he just out of nowhere was like I got it. And Nancy was like, got what?
Jess
His proximity to Nancy? His ideas just happen there.
Amy
Honestly, she does. She makes everybody better. She helps inspire genius within everyone.
Jess
She certainly does. Absolutely. Okay, App.
Amy
Okay,
Jess
How Where did Facebook get it's name from? Either wait do you know this one.
Amy
I feel like Mark but I've never seen that movie. No, give me my options. I don't know.
Jess
Okay a phone book but with pictures at the Harvard dorm directory, or a combination of FaceTime and phone book.
Amy
I'm gonna say FaceTime wasn't a thing
back then, because the Iphone wasn't even out yet. Okay, so I'm gonna say mix between face and phonebook
Jess
actually came from Harvard's dorm directory, originally. Yeah. And I had looked this up because I also have not watched the movie, which I think is highly ironic, because when I was talking to Ann about this, she hadn't watched it either. And I was like, Oh, I really should watch right Um, so I guess the university had a online like had a like paper version of like the dorm directories with like, student images of like, who lived in what dorm and he made it like digital made a digital version of it. Um, and they call these like paper versions Facebook because they were books of people faces. So yeah, he kind of that kind of was like where his inspiration for the for Facebook was and it was originally, I remember correctly was originally called The Facebook.
Amy
Yes.
Jess
When they went to go like dope, it cracks me up How much? How many names come from like what domain is available online? Yeah. And like Facebook wasn't available, but The Facebook was so they took that one. And then when Facebook came available, they snatched that one up. I was like, good God,
Amy
I didn't even know that. That's kind of cool.
Jess
Right?
You know, another one that I thought was kind of cool. So Zillow, like you guys just bought a house. We're like, looking at houses, which is, like, nauseating and makes my head hurt. I'm so so how did Zillow get its name? It's a combination of two. So it's so here are your options. Oh my god. Like,
Amy
Newt's this whole head is over the edge
Jess
I hope it's not stuck.
Amy
It just looks like his head is stuck
okay Zillow. The combination it's combination of Willow and zip code.
Jess
That was a pretty good guess I'll give you that. So no, it's actually a combination of zillion and pillow. So Zillow evolved from they wanted to make and this is a quote them. They wanted to make zillions of data points for homes accessible everywhere. But in this part, I was like, Oh, that's so cute. But a home is more than about just data. It's about where you lay your head at night. Like a pillow. So Zillow was born.
I was like, cute.
Amy
That's cute.
Jess
Like that's only something that woman would think. Another one that I thought was funny was Yelp.
Amy
Oh, yell and help.
Jess
So that's what you would think. I like and these are the answers like Yeah, but I was like was the original name of Yeah, where did Yelp get its name from. So yelling for help, or yocal as in local, yocal, or your help. And it actually was originally called yocal. However, they couldn't get that as a domain name, again.
Amy
Domain names messing everything up.
Jess
Now. So like one of their employees suggested Yelp and they liked that, um, it was short and it was one syllable and it was memorable.
Amy
Yeah,
Jess
Like, well, that is kind of a key to branding is that you're memorable.
Amy
Definitely being memorable. But that is the number one thing that we call my friend Will the mayor of Wilmington, because he leaves Yelp reviews like it is his job. Like, it's funny, we'll go we all went out to happy hour or something. And because one of our bars, our friends are bartending at the bar, so they're like, Hey, would you mind doing a Yelp review for us and then we give you a free appetizer or whatever. So we're like sure. So you know, Chris, she's writing his Yelp review, and he took his time, you know, he did like a nice paragraph or whatever. And then he read, Will's Yelp review. It's like, six paragraphs they have, he has like pictures and like everything,
Jess
Well, I feel like I know I've mentioned this before, like, I have a friend she lives in the DC area. If I ever go to DC she's definitely the person that I'm like, Where do I need to go? Actually, I'll just find your Yelp account. Because like she is like such a serious like Yelper That like she goes to like these parties that they have these like get togethers they have for people who are super involved in Yelp because she's left so many reviews places
Amy
See that's cool.
Jess
like that's actually yeah that's actually really cool. We get she always has she's like super vague on like, like little indie restaurants and like places that like not everybody would know. So she's definitely good for like oh well if you're looking for a good you know, like even think like Indian food in DC you should go here if you're looking for good Korean food you should go here but yeah, she definitely unlike his party's for that she's like yeah once you reach like a certain level they have like get togethers for people in your area.
Amy
Well, I know what my next goal is to be a yelp person,
I can write good reviews and take some pictures
Jess
Take some pictures of my food and leave summary I do that i Instagram anyway.
Amy
Exactly. You know I might as well share the experience. I don't go anywhere to like, leave enough reviews. That's the thing. Well, we're all down here on vacation. And we're planning on doing a girls day on Thursday. But we're also like, South Carolina is a mask state. So you have to wear them inside and outside. And it's just like how much fun we get to have having to wear masks in and out and, oh, I just hit my low power mode for my phone. we are running out of juice.
Jess
Even, you know, even if you're sitting at the table, like if you're well, I guess if you're in a salon that's like,
Amy
Yeah, well, I was gonna say I can't plug in my charger and my earphones because Apple would do that. Yeah. It's the same plug. That's nice. All right, what are your last questions because we only got a few minutes before my phone dies.
Jess
Ok my last one, which I feel like it's fitting because you're on vacation with a bunch of people. Okay, how did Venmo get its name?
Amy
OOH Then though I think the mo is no money or, or money. Then I'm, like vendor me money, I guess I don't know how did it.
Jess
So here I'll read you my three options. It was the last name of the founders business teacher. They comes from Latin root words, or they threw darts at an alphabet poster.
Amy
Oh, please tell me they threw darts at an alphabet poster
Jess
I wish.
No, I did not take Latin in high school. So our Latin teachers at school will not get mad at me. It's from what the Latin root words. So I guess the Latin root word for sell is ven deer. And mo is for mobile. So they really just wanted a name. Yeah, they wanted a name was short. It could be a verb, which I thought was Yeah,
Amy
yes Venmo me
Jess
did not have an unintuitive spelling and was cheap. They said Venmo was available on GoDaddy and met the important criteria. They took it. That's what.
Amy
I mean That's what makes so much sense. My very, very, very first job, I had this mentor, his name is Mike teach. And he does this CEO group down in Baltimore. And my CEO was part of this group. And so my kind of like, took me under his wing and taught me some stuff. And he said that what she wants to do when you're branding something, when you're doing names, and you're trying to come up with something, you'll know you've made it if your name becomes a verb, like you don't search for something, you Google it, you know, like kind of that thing. So my first company that we worked for it was named green spring energy. And he was like, You want people to say green spring, my house like you want that to be a term for somebody to get solar panels, and a whole eco efficient windows and everything done like green spring, your houses where we make it the most efficient as possible. So that was like, kind of what we work toward in our marketing. So it makes some make that a brandable. Like, just a word and When you say it like they know it's kind of like Kleenex. It's a brand. It's not what it actually is. But everybody knows what a Kleenex is kind of.
Jess
YesCan you pass me a Kleenex? Yeah, even if it's the off brand everybody knows that the tissue.
Amy
Exactly. Oh my gosh So one time, we're at my mom's mom's funeral. So my grandmother's funeral and my mom is bawling her eyes out right? Like just beside herself crying. She asked me to bring her some more tissues. So I go and I bring her box of tissues and she goes, Well, these aren't Puffs Plus,
like, really, I we're out of Puffs Plus, I'm sorry. You didn't get me Puff's Plus
Jess
You're like, Nope.
Amy
